Dachstein Dialoge in Filzmoos and Ramsau is an international festival for tolerance, and this year we’re exploring the theme ‘Torn Years’. From 27–29 September 2024 we aim to bring together diverse life experiences to explore and experience tolerance collectively.
In an era marked by increasing polarisation, endangered democracies and multiple crises, the divisions within society are deepening. Following a tumultuous history, Filzmoos and Ramsau now stand side by side. With Dachstein Dialoge, they aim to set an example for lived tolerance and respectful coexistence. Dachstein Dialoge creates spaces to prioritise what unites us over what divides us, fostering opportunities for mutual engagement. These spaces emerge among individuals, through exchange and interaction.
The Dachstein dialogues shape the present by learning from the past and looking into the future. They offer encounters, intellectual inspiration and cultural experiences that help transform painful historical experiences into a spirit of togetherness as a basis for living tolerance and democracy. So the Dachstein is transformed from a border mountain into a focal point and a connection.
